AL6XN (S38367) is a high-performance super austenitic stainless steel known for its excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. This material is particularly suitable for highly corrosive environments, such as chemical, marine engineering, petrochemical, and environmental protection industries.
The main components of AL6XN (S38367) include 23.5% to 25.5% nickel (Ni), 20% to 22% chromium (Cr), 6% to 7% molybdenum (Mo), and 0.18% to 0.25% nitrogen (N). These elements work together to improve its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride solutions, and enhance its resistance to stress corrosion cracking. AL6XN also has high yield strength and tensile strength, making it suitable for engineering applications that require high strength.
The processing performance of AL6XN is also excellent, with good forging and welding properties. It can be connected and processed through various welding methods, and its corrosion resistance will not be reduced after welding. In addition, it also has good cold working performance, such as cold forging and cold heading.
